The International Exhibition for Equipment and Technologies for the Oil and Gas Industry has been taking place in Moscow under the Neftegaz brand since 1978. It is, objectively, the industry’s main trade show and business platform in Russia and one of the benchmark shows in the world. In terms of the ROI of participation, abundance of business leads, high professionalism of visitors, logistical specifics, and a number of other criteria, Neftegaz consistently leads the rankings of business events. In 2027, the show returns to its usual schedule: Neftegaz 2027 is to take place from April 12 through 15. As usual, it will be organised by EXPOCENTRE AO with the support of the Russian Ministry of Energy and the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, and under the auspices of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Traditions, place, time

Historically, Neftegaz is the largest industry-wide commercial event in Russia, which has successfully developed its own special format, where key accents are placed on the quality of visitors and exhibitors, the business efficiency of each metre of the area and each hour of the show.

Objectively, Neftegaz is the No. 1 platform for the oil and gas industry in terms of experience, scale, and efficiency.

Among the unconditional advantages of Neftegaz are the consistency of its time frame, Moscow as a particularly advantageous venue, an extensive conference programme, and a significant GR component. The location plays a really important role as Moscow leads in terms of the combined potential of buyers and industry professionals, especially considering that the main offices of large oil and gas companies are located here (source: statistics from relevant events and 2gis+2). Moscow boasts the largest number of representatives of the Neftegaz target audience. It is larger than in any city of the post-Soviet space or Europe.

Today, Neftegaz has really become the only trade show in Moscow that concentrates almost all the leading players in the country's oil and gas industry and a lot of international participants.

Obviously, it was the high demand for the event in the industry, coupled with the high professionalism of its team, that made it possible for the show to move to a new venue painlessly, with virtually no impact on its quantitative and qualitative indicators.

Being the largest event in the life of the industry, Neftegaz provides a real unique opportunity for manufacturers and suppliers from different countries to demonstrate their latest oil and gas and refining equipment and technologies, establish and expand business contacts, and discuss a wide range of issues facing the industry. If we had to use a coefficient of commercial efficiency, then Neftegaz could undoubtedly count on the maximum value.

In addition, the show provides a direct dialogue with representatives of government agencies such as the Russian State Duma, the Presidential Administration of Russia, ministries and departments related to the regulation and implementation of state policy in the oil and gas and related industries.

Exhibitors

It would not be an exaggeration to say that there is not a single large or medium-sized company in the industry that has not participated in Neftegaz in one form or another. That is why it is appropriate to quote Sergey Tsivilev, Russian Minister of Energy, who said that Neftegaz was a reputable platform that had been bringing together leading companies, industry professionals and experts for many years, offering a space for dialogue, exchange of experience, and demonstration of the latest technologies. Over the years, the databases of Neftegaz have included all companies that work directly in the industry or have overlaps in their fields of application.

Of course, the main attraction for the exhibitors is the very high commercial efficiency of participation. According to surveys, 80% of the exhibitors meet their objectives at the show, and 67% of the exhibitors sign contract at the end of the event. In other words, Neftegaz is a platform where the exhibitors acquire real customers, partners, and buyers.

The number of exhibitors is consistently high. Even in 2026, which was difficult for the show and the industry as a whole, Neftegaz accommodated more than 800 companies from 11 countries on an area of 18,000 square metres. They included such well known Russian companies as the Association of Compressor Plants, ABC ZEIM Automation, Atomiq  Soft, BAZtube, Borovichi Refractories Plant, Velan, UTS, FID Group, EMK, Zavod Goreltex, ZIT, Izhevsk Aircraft Plant, Incontrol, IRZ TEK, IT Holding T1, Cable Alliance, Kurganmashzavod, KEAZ, Metran, Metrology and Automatization, Moselektroshchit, NK Kron, NTA Prom, Russian Maritime Register of Shipping, Nefteavtomatika, OKB Zenit, Peleng, Machine-Building Factory of Podolsk, Prosoft-Systems, Reglab, Rizur, Rubezh, Ruselkom, Sibkom IT (BIT GK), Samson Controls, SibBurMash, SST Energomontazh, Siberian Electrotechnical Plant, Tobol, Transmashholding, TREM Engineering, UZSA, Urals Pipe Works, Ufagidromash, Fidmash, CHETA, ECOHIMPRIBOR, EMK SPA, Emis, Elemer, EKRA RPE, Energosila, and many others.

In addition to independent exhibitors, there are those who participate within pavilions of their respective regions. For example, Neftegaz 2026 welcomed participation of Belgorod, Chelyabinsk, Kurgan, Nizhny Novgorod, Omsk, Orel, Penza, Ryazan, Samara, and Ulyanovsk Oblasts, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug – Yugra, the Republic of Karelia, and the Udmurt Republic.

Effective GR platform

One of the unconditional advantages of the show is the strengthening of the professional image of its participants. To make it happen, Neftegaz widely uses GR resources, including professional events with heads and representatives of government agencies responsible for the development of the industry and the implementation of state policies in Russia.

These events, organised within the show’s conference programme, are plenary sessions, tours around the show by top industry officials and honorary guests, conferences, plenary discussions, press events, award ceremonies, and original projects such as a student hackathon, the Neftegaz Focus platform, and others.

Another good business and image-building tool offered by the show is a business networking area, where both visitors and exhibitors enjoy comfortable environment for negotiations (including tea, coffee, and snacks). It should be noted that such area are successfully operating at the world's largest trade shows.

Every year, the staff of Neftegaz carefully collects and analyses the feedback from the show’s exhibitors and visitors, so that their wishes and suggestions become a guide to action for the further development of the event. In other words, the increasing effectiveness of Neftegaz is a reflection of the needs and opinions of leading industry professionals.

Conference programme

The conference programme of Neftegaz is regularly developed with the participation of the Russian Ministry of Energy, the Russian Federation Council, the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Russian Gas Society, relevant universities, and the industry’s major companies.

The programme stands out for its focus on relevant details and business effectiveness of each event. It is possible due to the assistance and involvement of the show’s long-term partners such as leading professional associations, and associations of Russian oil and gas equipment manufacturers.

As an example, according to the exhibitors, the most attention-getting events of Neftegaz 2026 were the Conference on the Path to Technological Leadership: Tasks, Ideas, Solutions; the Panel Discussion on Automation of the Oil and Gas Industry: the Search for Optimal Solutions for Sustainable Development; the Panel Discussion on Science-Intensive Technologies and Materials for the Manufacture and Repair of Equipment and Pipelines. Visitors

One of the objective advantages of Neftegaz is the very high professional level of its visitors. The traditional attention of the industry’s players, the focus of professionals on this show as a leading one in the industry, and the fact that it takes place in Moscow are the main factors. Different Moscow business catalogues say that there are 434-711 companies of the industry in the city, including the 28 major oil and gas companies. For comparison, Tyumen, as the second largest city in terms of the number such companies, has only 115-195.

The statistics of the visitors is convincing. For example, out of 17,374 registered visitors to Neftegaz 2026, 9,954 were from Moscow and 857 from the Moscow region (a total of 62% of visitors). The number of visitors from St. Petersburg was 1,069, and 23 people were from the Leningrad region.

Surveys show approximately the same structure: 99% of the visitors are industry professionals, 78% of the visitors are people involved in purchasing decisions, business development, and selection of suppliers, 64% are looking for new business contacts, 69% are looking for new products, solutions and technologies, 80% found that they were looking for, and 76% of them plan to make a deal post event.

According to preliminary forecasts, the record set in 2025–more than 25,000 professional visitors from more than 40 countries–may be beaten at Neftegaz 2027.

Neftegaz international

One of the most important components of the show is a large number of foreign participants and topics of international cooperation on the agenda of the conference programme. Neftegaz is constantly expanding its cooperation with foreign industry associations and organisers of national pavilions to boost the development of the show. Such associative partners include the Chinese China Petroleum & Petrochemical Equipment Industry Association, and the China General Machinery Association, and others.

Despite the significant obstacles imposed by Western countries, many international majors are seeking to participate in Neftegaz.
