Neftegaz 2023 opened its doors

The Neftegaz 2023 International Exhibition for Equipment and Technologies for the Oil and Gas Industry opened at EXPOCENTRE Fairgrounds.

More than 700 companies including manufacturers and suppliers from Azerbaijan, Belarus, China, India, Iran, Italy, Kazakhstan, Russia, South Korea, and Turkiye demonstrate the latest oil and gas and oil refining equipment and technologies to specialists. The exhibition area is 50,000 gross sq. m.

Neftegaz 2023 also features Russian regional group stands from Altai and Krasnodar Krais, Vologda, Voronezh, Kaluga, Nizhny Novgorod, Novgorod, Ulyanovsk, and Chelyabinsk Oblasts, Mari El and Chuvash Republics, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug–Yugra.

The key event of the Neftegaz conference programme will be the National Oil & Gas Forum, which opens on April, 25. The Forum’s programme is divided into three topical units, which will discuss a wide range of current issues facing the oil and gas industry today. These are Development Strategy, Branch Economics and International Cooperation; Scientific and Technological Development, Import Substitution and Innovation Transfer, and on April, 27 the participants will discuss the Climate Agenda, the Environment, and Resource Saving at the Eurasian Climate Congress.

At the official opening ceremony, the President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sergey Katyrin stressed that the Neftegaz exhibition was a landmark for us. “It has been held for 45 years already, and it shows how important and in-demand it is for the industry,” continued the Chamber’s President. “It is important not only for the oil and gas industry but for all those who are connected to it. These are machine builders, metallurgists, chemists, ecologists, manufacturers of new materials and so on. Almost all sectors are connected with the oil and gas industry, which can be called the backbone of the Russian economy.”

Konstantin Dolgov, Deputy Chair of the Federation Council Committee on Economic Policy of the Russian Federal Assembly, reminded that the exhibition was held even during the pandemic. “Since oil and gas are not only our national wealth, but also strategic goods for the entire world economy. We will undoubtedly further develop this industry,” he said.

Yuri Shafranik, Chair of the Council of the Union of Oil and Gas Producers of Russia, Chair of the Chamber’s Committee on Energy Strategy and Development of the Fuel and Energy Sector, noted “probably half of the companies represented at the exhibition are large companies of international level. Today’s challenges give them an impetus for new solutions. We will talk about this at the accompanying events of the exhibition.”

President of the Union of Oil and Gas Producers of Russia Genady Shmal said that “today was a great event for our oil and gas community. Every such exhibition leaves a good mark not only in solving technical and production tasks, but also in the soul of people who come to this exhibition”.

Alexey Vyalkin, Director General of EXPOCENTRE AO, thanked those present and gave special thanks to representatives of 730 companies from ten countries which choose EXPOCENTRE as a venue to present their products and new technologies.

The exhibition runs through April 27.
