Neftegaz 2022, the 21st edition of the International Exhibition for Equipment and Technologies for the Oil and Gas Industry, opened today at Expocentre Fairgrounds. The exhibition is organised by EXPOCENTRE AO with the support of the Russian Ministry of Energy, the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, under the auspices of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

350 companies from 15 countries are participating in Neftegaz 2022. The exhibition occupies 35,000 sq. m of exhibition space. It is a significant event for the Russian producers and suppliers of oil and gas, refining equipment, electrotechnical and power equipment for the oil and gas sector, as well as for companies specialising in oil and gas transportation and storage, and many others in the fuel and energy complex.

Foreign companies interested in the Russian market and ready to work on new promising projects occupy an important part of the exhibition. This year, companies from Iran are taking an active part in the exhibition as part of the national pavilion. On the first day of the exhibition, Iranian Deputy Minister of Petroleum for Petrochemical Affairs Morteza Shahmirzaei and Iranian Ambassador to the Russian Federation Kazem Jalali visited the exhibition.

Mr. Morteza Shahmirzaei stressed that Iran's participation in the exhibition in the new international environment is a sign of friendship with the Russian government and recognition of the policies pursued by Russia in the economic sphere. "Iran's oil and gas industry can assist Russia in various fields and be a reliable partner. We are starting a new chapter of strong cooperation in the oil sector," the deputy minister said.

Alexey Vyalkin, Director General of EXPOCENTRE AO, noted that cooperation between the two countries is not limited to the oil and gas industry. "Over the past five years, 187 Iranian companies have taken part in EXPOCENTRE's industry exhibitions," said Alexey Vyalkin. “I am very glad that the visit of a representative mission of Iranian businessmen to Moscow organised last week by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation has already yielded the first results. In particular, an agreement was signed between EXPOCENTRE AO and the Iran International Exhibitions Company. And today we see widespread representation of Iranian companies at the Neftegaz 2022 exhibition”.

Also during the Neftegaz 2022 exhibition, Alexey Vyalkin awarded Transneft the certificate for "individual and expressive design, clearly revealing the industry focus of the exposition, efficient and modern organisation of the working space, as well as up-to-date information content on the stand". The certificate was presented to Natalia Kutsik, Director of External Communications Department of Transneft PAO.

The Neftegaz 2022 exhibition runs until April 21.
