The 14th International Exhibition Neftegaz’2012 opens at Expocentre Fairgrounds
On June 25 Expocentre hosted opening of the 14th International Exhibition for Equipment and Technologies for the Oil and Gas Industries Neftegaz’2012 .
Oil and gas sector is a source of essential resources for any country’s economy. The industry’s leading show Neftegaz’2012 co-organized by Expocentre and company Messe Düsseldorf GmbH (Germany) is a significant event not only for the oil and gas sector of Russia, but as well for the whole world’s oil and gas community. It is a unique opportunity for the manufacturers from all over the world to showcase the advanced oil and gas and oil refining equipment and technology to experts of the field, establish and expand business contacts, discuss a wide range of topical professional issues.
In Russia over 50 % of the budget is formed by means of subsurface resources use. That accounts for the importance of the exhibition to be open today, Chairman of the Russian Federation Federal Assembly State Duma Committee for Natural Resources, Nature Management and Ecology Vladimir I. Kashin noted, welcoming organizers, participants and guests of the Neftegaz’2012 exhibition at the official opening ceremony. Thus Mr.Kashin emphasized that there was a need for effective, rational and careful use of the available natural resources and expressed his confidence that the innovative technology and equipment presented at the exhibition would contribute to this global task solution.
Director of the Department of Oil and Gas Recovery and Transportation of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation Victor I. Solovykh delivered the Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Alexander V. Novak’s welcoming address to the Neftegaz’2012 exhibition. The address said that the international exhibition and a number of significant events carried out within the exhibition were a result of joined efforts of the State and the fuel and energy sector organizations and were aimed at creating a reliable support for the industry’s further development. The events held within the exhibition are to highlight essentially important directions for the oil and gas sector development, ways for mobilization of Russian intellectual and organizational and administrative resources to solve problems of innovative development of the Fuel and Energy Sector.
As well Alexander M. Volovik, Vice-president of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Chairman of the Moscow Fuel and Energy Union, noted a special value of the Neftegaz’2012 exhibition having paid attention to the scale of the exposition occupying 26 600 sq. meters. In Mr.Volovik’s opinion, at the exhibition it was very important to discuss ecological issues, allowing keeping our resources as truly national property.
Director of the Exhibition, Trade Fair and Congress Activity Department of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation Igor A. Korotin welcomed the exhibition participants on behalf of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, which is the Neftegaz’2012 exhibition patronizing organization, and the RF CCI President Sergey. N. Katyrin. Mr.Korotin emphasized the importance of the professional event Neftegaz’2012, held on the Expocentre platform, for advancing and developing the Energy Strategy of Russia till 2020, for sharing experience and distributing technologies and equipment aimed at modernization and innovative development of the Russian Fuel and Energy Sector as a basis for the national economy development and its international status.
Welcoming all in attendance on behalf of organizers at the opening ceremony, Director General of Expocentre Sergey S. Bednov noted that the Neftegaz exhibition had been successfully held since 1992 as a biennial event. Each exhibition is a representative one in relation to its membership. This year the exhibition gathered together over 960 leading companies from 32 countries. It is especially important that at the exhibition there participate 550 domestic companies with the oil and gas sector leaders among them.
Sergey S. Bednov mentioned the exhibition rich and interesting business-related program, which comprised the 3rd International Conference on Innovative Oil and Gas Sector Development ENERCON’2012, and expressed his confidence that the next Neftegaz’2012exhibition would be successful and fruitful for all the participants and visitors.
The Neftegaz’2012 exposition is located in Pavilions Nos. 1, 2 (Halls 1-3), 8 (Halls 1-4), Forum and at the open- air sites of Expocentre Fairgrounds.
On June 25 through June 28 the exhibition is open from 10.00 till 18.00, on June 29 from 10.00 till 16.00.
