National Oil and Gas Forum opened at Expocentre Fairgrounds

The National Oil and Gas Forum opened today as part of the Neftegaz 2022 conference programme. The event is organised with the support of the Russian Ministry of Energy and leading industry organisations.

Holding the Neftegaz exhibition and the National Oil and Gas Forum on a single platform will make it possible to simultaneously discuss the most important current problems and practical tasks facing the fuel and energy complex, and to learn about the current technological achievements of the energy industry.

The following thematic conferences are held within the forum: “The economics and technology of energy transition: a view from Russia on the transformation of oil and gas markets”, “Technology and digital leadership: the scientific and technological sovereignty and proactive import substitution”, “Hydrogen energy development – H2 energy: the economics of growth and new technology”.

The forum was opened with welcoming remarks by Ruslan Edelgeriev, Adviser to the Russian President and Special Representative of the President on Climate Issues, Pavel Zavalny, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Energy, Mikhail Ivanov, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, Yury Shafranik, Chairman of the Union of Oil and Gas Producers of Russia, representatives of associations and major industry businesses.

Pavel Sorokin, Deputy Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation, took part in the session "ESG transformation: new business opportunities".

After the first part of the conference the main speakers were toured around the Neftegaz 2022 exhibition.

The National Oil and Gas Forum will run until April 21.
