The 19th edition of the Neftegaz International Exhibition for Equipment and Technologies for the Oil and Gas Industry opened its doors at Expocentre Fairgrounds. The trade show is organised by Expocentre AO in cooperation with its long-standing partner Messe Dusseldorf GmbH (Germany).

Director General of Expocentre AO Sergey Bednov acted as the moderator of the opening ceremony and thanked the Russian Ministry of Energy, the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and industry associations for assistance and support in organisation of the trade show.

He said that Neftegaz, that ranked in the world’s top ten petroleum shows, enjoyed well-deserved recognition among foreign and Russian leaders in the oil, gas and power industries. The trade show's high international standing is confirmed by the logos of UFI, the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry and the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs. According to the polling conducted among the oil and gas companies, Neftegaz was recognized the best trade show in 2018 in the Oil and Gas Exhibition nomination.

This year the participants in the trade show are 550 companies from 23 countries of Europe, Asia, and America. The national pavilions are arranged by Germany, China, and Czechia. Foreign and Russian manufacturers and suppliers of the oil and gas equipment, upstream and processing companies, oilfield service and exploration companies will demonstrate the best solutions in the oil and gas industry. Russia will be represented by more than 300 exhibitors, said the head of Expocentre.

According to Sergey Bednov, Neftegaz 2019 is accompanied by a rich supporting program.  The trade show runs along with the National Oil and Gas Forum that is a networking platform for business and authorities where the most relevant issues are discussed.

Chairman of the Board of the Union of Oil and Gas Producers of Russia Yuri Shafranik, Aide to the Chief of Staff, Presidential Executive Office of Russia Kirill Molodtsov, President of the Russian Chemists Union Victor Ivanov, Vice President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Dmitry Kurochkin, General Manager of Messe Düsseldorf Moscow Thomas Stenzel warmly congratulated the participants, visitors and organisers of the exhibition on its opening.

Immediately after the Neftegaz 2019 opening there was held a ceremony of cancellation of the artistically marked mailing envelope devoted to Expocentre's 60th anniversary applying a commemorative postmark. The envelope has been printed in one million copies. There is an anniversary logo, elements of company style, and a picture of Expocentre Fairgrounds on the envelope.

According to Deputy Head of the Russian Federal Agency of Communications (Rossvyaz) Vladimir Shelikhov, Rossvyaz along with Marka AO and Expocentre AO prepared a philatelic program that will last during the Expocentre’s anniversary year. The first cancellation of an envelope took place in February at the opening of the Prodexpo 2019 international exhibition.

Today, a cancellation ceremony was also held at the Elektro 2019 and Neftegaz 2019 exhibitions. It will be also held at other Expocentre's major trade shows. "As a result, by the end of the year stamp collectors will get a broad range of philatelic items connected with Expocentre and its largest trade shows," concluded deputy head of Rossvyaz.
